4/4-Size Violins

This full-sized violin is suitable for adults or children with an arm length of approximately 60 cm. For younger children, a smaller size violin like a 3/4, 1/2, 1/3, 1/8, or 1/10 is recommended. For a violin, the arm length should be measured from the middle of the hand to under the jaw. This will give you the length that will allow the scroll to be held in a curved hand with the elbow slightly bent and fingers pointing towards the face. If the measurement falls between two sizes, it's recommended to go with the smaller size.
